Inform of your new address

Preparing your move and packing up:

  • Reserve a parking space in front of the old and the new building, or ask the police if it’s a public place

  • Do not overload the boxes but pack them well

  • Describe the items (content, name of the owner, floor, room)

  • Prepare your plants for the move and pour them only at the new location

  • Disconnect the fridge and freezer from elctricity and de-ice them

Inform of your new address:

  • Your bank and the post office

  • The registration office (“contrôle des habitants »)

  • The electricity, gas and water suppliers

  • The preschool, kindergarten, school

  • The health insurance company and all other insurances

  • The subscriptions provider (newspaper, magazines, etc.)

  • «Billag» (for radio and television)

  • The compensation Office AHV (self-employed and retired)

  • The traffic Bureau (“service des automobiles »)

  • Give a request to the post for forwarding your mail to the new home

  • If necessary let change your ID cards
